Prices sampled from 22 US restaurants

We track the full KFC menu with prices for every one of the 150 items KFC sells in the United States, and we rebuild this page each week so the figures stay current. Each price below is the median we recorded across 22 US restaurants, and each calorie figure is KFC's own.

Every item is here with a picture, what it costs and what it carries, across 10 categories from $0.29 up. Kentucky Fried Chicken and KFC are the same company under two names, so this is the whole of it either way: buckets, tenders, sandwiches, bowls, sides and the sauces that go with them. Pick a category to jump to it, or search the whole menu further down the page.

Where Do These KFC Menu Prices Come From?

KFC lets each franchisee set its own prices, which is why the same bucket costs different money two towns apart. We work around that by reading the price of every item from KFC's own ordering system at 22 US restaurants, then taking the median. The median is the middle price rather than an average, so one unusually expensive store cannot drag the figure up on its own.

What you get is a typical US price, not a guaranteed one. Every item page also shows the full range we recorded, so you can tell at a glance which items barely move and which swing by a couple of dollars between branches. A wing costs much the same everywhere. A twelve piece bucket does not.

Every Item With a Picture, a Price and a Calorie Count

Each card on this page carries a photo of the item, what it costs and what KFC publishes for calories, which is what most people are after when they search for the KFC menu with prices and pictures. Open any card and the item page gives you the full nutrition panel, the allergen list and the price range across the restaurants we sampled. The nutrition calculator and the meal planner read the same data, so a tray you build there matches the numbers you see here.

Where KFC publishes nothing, we print nothing. Some items carry no calorie figure and some have no nutrition panel at all, and we would rather leave a gap than fill it with an estimate that looks official. A blank allergen line on this site means KFC has not assessed that ingredient, not that the item is free of it.

Kentucky Fried Chicken Menu or KFC Menu?

Both names point at the same food. The chain franchised itself as Kentucky Fried Chicken from 1952 and shortened the name to KFC in 1991, and plenty of signs still carry the older wording depending on how old the building is. A search for the Kentucky Fried Chicken menu and a search for the KFC menu land you in the same place, which is this page.

The one split worth knowing is bone in chicken against everything else. If you came for buckets, wings and a la carte pieces, the KFC fried chicken menu has its own page. Tenders, nuggets, sandwiches, bowls, sides and sauces each have one too, linked from the button at the top of every section above.

What Does It Cost to Eat at KFC Today?

Prices move, so here is what today's KFC menu with prices works out at across six common order sizes. Every figure is read from the same data as the cards above.

KFC prices by order size
What you wantThe itemPrice
The cheapest full mealCountry Fried Steak Meal$4.99
The cheapest fried chicken dealTaste of KFC 2 pc. Deal$5.00
One person with a drinkThe $7 Box Feast$7.00
Two peopleMeal for Two: 2 Sandwiches + 4 pc. Tenders$17.00
A flat price family boxFan Favorites Box$20.00
The largest order we track16 pc. Chicken Meal$49.29

The pattern holds across the whole menu. Flat price boxes such as the Fan Favorites Box feed four at $5.00 a head and hold that price whatever you put in them, while the numbered buckets charge by the piece and climb once sides go on the order. Both sit on this page for that reason, and the deals page carries the current offers that move either one.

What Can You Save on the KFC Menu Today?

Nothing in the table above has to be paid at full price. KFC keeps 20 promo codes running at any one time, and the strongest of them takes $12.39 off a single item against the regular price we track. Every one of those codes lives in KFC's app and online checkout, never at the counter, so you enter it before you pay rather than asking for it when you order.

We price each code against the same menu figures you see on this page, so you can tell what one is worth before you go hunting for it. Our KFC coupons page lists all of them with the exact offer each unlocks and where the field sits, and the deals page covers the flat price boxes and the bucket of the day, which need no code at all.

Gluten and Allergens on the KFC Menu

KFC has no gluten free menu and says so itself. Everything breaded carries wheat, and the kitchen handles wheat all day, so nothing here is safe for coeliac disease. What KFC does publish is an allergen list per item, and we hold it for 49 of the 150 items on the menu.

Of those, 9 carry no wheat or gluten flag. That is not the same as gluten free. It means KFC assessed the item and did not flag those two, in a kitchen where cross contact is normal. Read it as a starting point for a conversation with the restaurant, never as a clearance.

KFC items with no wheat or gluten flag
ItemPriceCaloriesWhat KFC does flag
KFC Sauce$0.2990 calEggs
Classic Ranch$0.29130 calMilk, Eggs
Buffalo Ranch$0.29120 calMilk, Eggs, MSG
Comeback Sauce$0.29120 calEggs
Honey Mustard$0.29110 calEggs, MSG
Sticky Chicky Sweet 'n Sour$0.2945 calFish, MSG
Cole Slaw$2.99170-640 calEggs
Green Beans$2.9925-80 calMSG
Mashed Potatoes$2.99110-460 calMilk, Soy

Mashed potatoes are on that list only without the gravy: KFC's gravy is made with chicken and carries wheat. A blank anywhere in our allergen tables means KFC has not assessed that ingredient, not that the item is free of it. The full per item lists sit on the nutrition page alongside the panels.

How Do You Order From the KFC Menu?

Four routes, and they do not carry the same prices or the same offers. Which one you pick decides if a promo code works at all.

  • At the counter Menu price, nothing else. The till has no field for a promo code, so none of the 20 live offers can be applied. Fine if you already know what you want.
  • In the KFC app The only route where the menu, the codes and the rewards points all work together. It remembers your restaurant, which is what decides if a given code is live for you.
  • On kfc.com Takes the same codes as the app and works in any browser, so you do not need to install anything. Rewards points still need an account.
  • Third party delivery DoorDash and Uber Eats are separate marketplaces with their own pricing. KFC's codes do not work there, and the $10 bucket of the day is not available on them at all.

What you can change is narrower than it looks. A combo lets you pick the side and the drink. A bucket lets you choose the chicken style at most restaurants. Sauces are added per item at $0.29 a tub. What arrives built and cannot be altered is anything in a bowl or a box, which is why the bowls and combos pages list what is inside each one before you order it. The delivery page covers what each route adds to the bill.

The Older Kentucky Fried Chicken Menu

KFC has dropped plenty of items over the years, and brought a few of them back. These are the ones people still ask about, with the years each one ran and whether you can order it today.

  1. 1930 Harland Sanders starts selling fried chicken from a filling station on US Route 25 outside North Corbin, Kentucky, on 20 March.
  2. 1952 The first franchise opens in South Salt Lake, Utah on 24 September, after Sanders franchises the recipe to Pete Harman. The name Kentucky Fried Chicken is coined for that restaurant's sign.
  3. 1991 The shortened name KFC is officially adopted, though the initialism was already in common use.
Item On the menu Dropped On sale today?
Country-Style Ribs Reporting links the timing to a pork shortage that raised costs, but treats the reason as unconfirmed. early 1970s around 1973 Still gone
Little Bucket Parfaits Layered dessert cups, on the menu for over forty years. 1969 2012 Still gone
Kentucky Nuggets Replaced by chicken strips at the time. 1984 1996 Yes, $3.49 Nuggets returned later under the name Kentucky Fried Nuggets, which is what KFC's own nutrition data still calls the piece.
Double Down Two fried filets in place of a bun. More than ten million sold in the first month, and KFC brought it back for a limited run in 2023. 12 April 2010 2014 Still gone
Pickle Fried Chicken A limited run that was never meant to stay. 2018 2018 Still gone

3 of these 8 are on the menu again, at the prices shown. The dates come from published reporting rather than from KFC's own data, because a product KFC no longer sells is not in the feed we read. KFC Menu Questions

150 items across 10 categories: bone in fried chicken, tenders, nuggets, sandwiches, bowls, combos, family boxes, sides, sauces and drinks. Prices run from $0.29 for a sauce tub up to the largest family meal. Every one of them is on this page with its price, its calorie figure and a photo.
A sauce tub at $0.29. If you mean a real meal rather than a dip, the Country Fried Steak Meal at $4.99, which comes with two sides and a biscuit. There are 53 items under $5 in all, and the deals page covers the flat price boxes that beat them for a group.
Buckets start at $10.00 for the Popcorn Chicken Bucket and run to $36.99 for sixteen pieces. An 8 pc. Chicken Bucket sits at $20.99 and a 12 pc. Chicken Bucket at $29.29. On a weekday the $10 bucket of the day usually beats all of them.
Original Recipe is the pressure fried chicken with the eleven herbs and spices in the coating. Extra Crispy is double breaded and open fried, so the crust is thicker and holds its crunch longer. KFC uses Extra Crispy on most of the sandwiches and Original Recipe on the tenders and the bone in pieces. Both carry the same price on the bucket.
No. KFC states plainly that it has no gluten free menu, and everything breaded carries wheat. What KFC does publish is a per item allergen list, and 9 of the items it has assessed carry no wheat or gluten flag. They are listed further up this page. All of them are still prepared in a kitchen that handles wheat.
By what KFC pushes hardest and stocks most widely, the Famous Bowl at $6.39, the Classic Chicken Sandwich at $5.29 and the buckets. The menu grid above is sorted by that same prominence when you leave the sort on Popular.
A KFC combo starts at $4.99 and a family meal at $5.00. Sides, sweets and sauces begin at $0.29. Every price on this site is the typical US price, and franchise pricing does vary from one restaurant to the next.
We read them from KFC's own ordering system at 22 restaurants, then take the median for each item. Each item page also shows the full range we saw, so you can tell how far a price moves between locations.
We track 3,702 KFC restaurants across 51 states and 2,635 cities. That data is what the hours page reads to work out when KFC actually opens, rather than repeating one schedule as though it were chain wide.
Not for everything. KFC publishes a single calorie figure for standalone items and a range for combos, because a combo changes with the sides and drink you pick. We show whichever KFC publishes, plus the full nutrition panel for the 37 items that have one.
Yes. Kentucky Fried Chicken is the company's original name and KFC is the short form it adopted in 1991, so both point at the same food. This page carries the whole of it, and the fried chicken menu covers the bone in pieces on their own.
Yes. There are 20 live offers right now. The deals page lists each one with the real price it sets, the promo code where a code is needed, and what you have to add to the order for it to apply.
No. KFMenu.us is independent and has no connection to KFC or Yum! Brands. We track the menu so the prices, calories and hours sit in one place. For orders and customer service, use KFC's own site.
Within limits. Combos let you pick the side and the drink, buckets let you choose the chicken style at most restaurants, and sauces are added per item at $0.29 a tub. What you cannot do is change what is inside a bowl or a box: those arrive built. The app is the only place every option shows up.
Constantly. Limited runs come and go, prices move by restaurant, and offers are pulled without notice. This page is rebuilt from KFC's own data every week, and the date under the heading is the day the figures were last read.
Not in the US. There is no breakfast menu and no breakfast hours: KFC runs one menu from open to close. The hours page covers when that is, restaurant by restaurant.
